RevTech Labs unveils largest cohort in start-up accelerator program's history

RevTech Labs, located in Charlotte, has announced its Class 18 cohort, which includes 15 startups from around the world — its largest class in the program’s history. RevTech Labs, founded in 2012, is generally regarded as one of the world’s top financial technology accelerators. Traditionally, the company hosts two cohorts per year, in the spring and fall, that concentrate on fintech and insurance tech. In Charlotte, the spring 2023 class began yesterday. The selected startups will participate in a 12-week hybrid programme during which they will work with RevTech’s advisory board and mentors while getting financing from its venture firm.

RevTech’s CFV Venture Fund 1 was recently named the nation’s top venture capital company for fintech. The newest group of founders, 87% of whom are traditionally underrepresented, were chosen through an internal screening procedure that originally connected with nearly 6,000 companies worldwide. RevTech narrowed them down to 68, then chose 15 final businesses. Charlotte is home to none of the companies. “This is the strongest and largest class in RevTech Labs and QCFintech history,” RevTech Labs co-founder Dan Roselli said in a statement. “It demonstrates how important and relevant the accelerator model remains for the startup community, especially in these difficult economic times.”

The founders understand and desire the assistance, resources, and funding provided by RevTech Labs.” Sara Roselli, a co-founder of RevTech Labs, stated that the accelerator’s most recent cohort exceeded its goal of hosting more than 50% of traditionally underrepresented founders.

“We continue to believe that access to mentorship and investments is critical for these company founders’ long-term success,” she added. The 15 fintech and insurtech start-ups in RevTech Labs’ Class 18 cohort are as follows:

  • Breakthru of Brooklyn, New York
  • Chaiz of New York City
  • Cloutdesk of New York City
  • Donate Stock of Houston
  • Insured Nomads of Birmingham, Alabama
  • InsurAware of Atlanta
  • New York City’s Marley
  • Fort Scott, Kansas’ OnboardXi
  • Toronto, Canada’s PledgX
  • Memphis, Tennessee’s Second Keys
  • Toronto, Canada’s SmartConcil
  • Schaumburg, Illinois’ TRaiCE
  • Bronxville, New York’s True Flood Risk
  • New York City-based Vector ML Analytics

RevTech Labs is throwing a welcome party at AvidXchange today, complete with light networking, appetisers, and drinks. At the party, Class 18 founders will introduce themselves and their businesses.
